Maire McQueeney's Novel Outings

VIRGINIA WOOLF

Brighton, Lewes, Rodmell, London, The World

'Quite the best tour leader in the area is Maire McQueeney.' Louise Candlish, 'In Britain'

Virginia Woolf was novelist, publisher, polemicist, pamphleteer, essayist, diarist, and correspondant. So Bloomsbury walks and book browsers can happen most anywhere. A few Lupine novel outings are tabulated on this page. All are suitable for group bookings.

MRS. DALLOWAY
When Mrs. Richard Dalloway walks from Pimlico to Mayfair one fine morning in June 1923 to buy flowers for her party she leaves her still disenfranchised daughter at home. Clarissa makes her way through Dean's Yard, past socialist thinkers at The Fabian Society, into Royal Parks still recovering from war, near 'Queen Victoria billowing on her mound', on towards Mulberry's and a Bond Street transformed by the twentieth century.
