DAYOUT
" organized by Maire McQueeney in partnership with REVELATIONS the SLDN's Millennium Project"
Don't miss the first SF afternoon of walking, talking & book browsing hosted by Midhurst Grammar School .
Midhurst,West Sussex, former home of H.G.Wells, stands in the heartland of John Wyndham' s mythical county Winshire which, " runs up to separate the two larger counties [of Sussex and Hampshire]", a near neighbour to Thomas Hardy's Wessex. Wyndham biographer David Ketterer suggests that among the alien invasion, surrogate motherhood and mind control of The Midwich Cuckoo's famous"dayout" there lurks an "estranged autobiography" of an enduring master of English science fiction. special thanks to D. Ketterer & Penquin Books
